I had the pleasure of taking a day trip between some business meetings in Germany the day before and a late flight from the Amsterdam Schiphol airport on the same day.
Arrival to the Centraal station, one can always see the bustle in this city. I start by heading towards the IAmsterdam photospot next to the Museumplein (currently removed from the spot) for a quick picture.

The whole area is beautiful with fountains, a huge park, the Museumplein in the front and the Van Gogh Museum at the back. This city has a lot of monuments and history given its strategic location. Tourists like myself are all across the city, looking to indulge what Amsterdam is famous for: Red light district and cannabis cafes.
“Some tourists think Amsterdam is a city of sin, but in truth, it is a city of freedom. And in freedom, most people find sin.” ― John Green
Now, I couldn't visit a lot of places given the short duration. Rewinding a bit, I walked through the streets of Amsterdam all across its pretty canals, bustling walkways and cycle paths crossing the pretty cafes and colourful buildings.

I did pass the famous Madame Tussauds on my way, but the size of the queue was sufficient to discourage myself from spending precious time at just one spot. I decided to walk around as much as I could and passed the Amsterdam Museum, Red district, Anne Frank Haus and the Amsterdam Casino on my way.

I walk till the Van Gogh museum and decide that I have one quick spot to see before I need to head back to the airport.

Walking towards the Tulips gardens and market, one can smell the flora from about a kilometre away. The markets are filled with seeds of different flowers. It is proudly mentioned that these seeds travel all across the world to find their way into homes, parks, sanctuaries and exhibitions.

Shortly after, I had to rush back to the Airport to take my flight back, but I had already planned that I would definitely go back.
